Pranay Chulet

• Pranay Chulet's journey from a small town in Rajasthan to becoming a thriving entrepreneur is truly inspiring. Born into modest circumstances, with his father employed in the mines and his mother a homemaker, Pranay held aspirations of entrepreneurship since his youth.
• His academic journey led him to the renowned Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, where he obtained a degree in mechanical engineering. Following this, he ventured into management consulting before opting to pursue an MBA from the esteemed IIM Calcutta.
• Pranay's entrepreneurial spirit was sparked during his involvement in film-making, where he recognized a gap in India's market for facilitating fair transactions of used goods. This epiphany led to the inception of Kijiji.in in July 2008, a platform connecting buyers and sellers for offline transactions, inspired by the success of online classifieds globally.
• The platform underwent a rebranding as Quikr, offering an expanded range of listings and enhancing user experience. With a robust business model encompassing revenue streams from premium listings, lead generation, and advertising, Quikr swiftly ascended to become India's leading horizontal classifieds company by 2012, serving millions of users across 65 cities.
