Birth & Early Life

Nitin Sharma has over a decade of experience in global venture capital, having invested in 50+ tech startups worldwide. He founded FirstPrinciples VC, a syndicate with a portfolio of 35+ startups including Fynd, OnJuno, Niki, Kutumb, and SharesPost (acq. By Forge), among others. Previously, he worked at NEA in the US and Lightbox Ventures in India.
Additionally, Nitin has been active in seed and angel investing, backing startups like Fynd (acq. by Reliance), OnJuno, Niki, Kutumb, Klub, StayQrious, Gramophone, and XOKind, among others. He also founded the developer community Incrypt, fostering India's blockchain ecosystem.
Nitin startup operations experience includes roles as VP of Business Development and early employee at EverFi, as well as leadership positions at Lightbox companies in India. He's been involved in strategic finance projects for NEA companies Suniva and AddThis and interned at InMobi.
Education-wise, Nitin holds an MBA from The Wharton School and two degrees from the University of Southern California. He serves on the India Advisory Boards of AngelList, USC Viterbi School of Engineering, and TheBetterIndia, and has advised the Indian central government's policy think tank (NITI Aayog) on frontier tech policymaking.
