Bhaskar Bhat

• Bhaskar Bhat concluded his tenure as Managing Director of Titan Company Limited in September 2019, a position he held from April 2002.
  
  
• Bhaskar Bhat holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras and a PGDBM from IIM Ahmedabad.
  
  
• Bhaskar Bhat initiated his professional journey as a Management Trainee at Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company in 1978 before joining the Tata Group.
  
  
• With over four decades of experience, he played a pivotal role in expanding Titan's market presence and diversifying its product portfolio to include Eyewear, Accessories, Fragrances, and Sarees.
  
  
• Under his leadership, Titan's market capitalization surged to 13 billion USD by 2019, making it the second-largest within the Tata Group.
  
  
• Apart from his corporate responsibilities, Bhaskar serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Governors at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappali.
  
  
• He holds positions in the Governing Councils of various educational institutions like TA Pai Management Institute, SDM Institute of Management, and the National Institute of Design.
  
  
• Additionally, he serves as a Board Member of IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation.
  
  
• Recognized for his contributions, Bhaskar has received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from both IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad.
